Finally Friday

I stopped on the way home and picked up a 10-foot 2 x 4 at Home Depot. I need to notch it and round it off a bit so that when I put the tarp on the trailer, the rain (lol! As if we get rain here in Redford!) will run off. The trailer must go outside while Jake and Carla are here, you see.

Speaking of rain, I checked the rain gauge when I got home. We got just about 1/4 of an inch of rain, and no more in sight for the next whole week. Bummer, dude!

Started the week's laundry after changing clothes, and then went out to work on my trailer cover. I cut the 2 x 4 to length, and then notched it. I used the belt sander to round off the corners and screwed it in place. Tomorrow, I'll ask Jake to help me drag it to the back, then cover it with the tarp I bought for this (I took a photo in case you are interested).

Came in at 7:00 PM and put the clothes in the drier. I emptied the dishwasher, and then I started cleaning out the fridge. With all this remodeling, I have become increasingly dangerous in keeping things in the fridge far past their shelf life. So, I am ruthless tonight! (No, its true, Ruth is not here! I don't even know a Ruth, come to think of it, lol!) I filled a whole kitchen trash bag with too-old jelly, salad dressings, Dijon mustard, shredded cheeses and most of the inhabitants of the food crisper drawers.

Next, I decided to make some dinner for myself. Hmmm, nothing thawed, what shall I make? Decided on one of my Mother's old comfort foods: Tuna and peas, served over egg noodles. Hung up my shirts and pants and then I ate my dinner while watching TV. I dozed off for a bit, woke up, wrote this and now I'm going back to bed!
