Quick, Easy and Damn Good Recipe

CaptainK's Note: I have personally tried this recipe and found it to be EXCELLENT! This is equal to or better than any fried shrimp I ever got in a restaurant.

The Lady and Sons Beer-Battered Fried Shrimp
Recipe courtesy of Paula Deen

1 cup beer
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Oil, for frying
21 to 25 large uncooked shrimp, peeled with tails left on

In a bowl, combine the beer, flour, and salt, and (IMPORTANT!) allow to sit at room temperature for several hours.

Preheat a fryer or a deep pot halfway filled with oil to 350 degrees F. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and dip the shrimp in the batter and fry for approximately 2 to 3 minutes. Drain shrimp on paper towels.
