Saturday

Used the other half of the mushroom-onion mix and some cheddar cheese to make a omelet for breakfast. I had all my errands done by 1:00 PM (grocery shopping, gas in the car, a bit of banking and a trip to Target)

Jake and Carla came over around 2:30 PM. We visited a while, then started playing cards. I made a dinner I've been wanting to try - pork chops with cornbread stuffing and apple cider gravy. Well, I let Carla make the apple cider gravy as she is MUCH better at gravy making than I. Dinner was okay, but lacked the "Wow" factor I was hoping for.

Jake cleaned up the dinner dishes, pots and pans, while Carla and I talked in the living room. We would occasionally go check on the Michigan/Ohio State football game on TV in the bedroom (Michigan was behind, then and eventually lost 42 to 39, I think it was). Jake joined us and played my guitar for a while, then they took off.

I fell asleep around 9:00 PM. I did wake up several times during the night, but never turned the lights on and fell back asleep after a bit.
